Zack Aker

Aker Studio was founded by Zack Aker in Los Angeles, CA out of both passion and necessity. Zack’s wife, Gabrielle, the principal designer of interior design firm Aker Interiors, had long struggled to find a reliable custom furniture maker who could meet her high standards. Although Zack had been honing his woodworking skills recreationally since his 7th-grade shop class, he had never pursued it professionally.

Frustrated by the lack of dependable craftsmanship, Gabrielle turned to Zack, asking if he could create a custom credenza for her client. That project sparked Zack’s passion to pursue a career in furniture DESIGN AND PRODUCTION, leading the couple to collaborate on unique interior designs across the greater Los Angeles area.

Zack believes that having a wife who is a remarkably talented interior designer has made him a better furniture maker. living with an interior designer has given him a deep respect and empathy for the intense challenges and high demands of running a design firm. this unique perspective motivates zack to provide designers, architects, and homeowners with the best product, delivered on time, with excellent communication, for a stress free customer experience.
